As a student at Brigham Young University, Daniel Brock studied exercise science and envisioned a career as a physical therapist. But after living in Uruguay for two years, Brock shifted his focus to dentistry. “It was in Uruguay that I realized how much of an impact having good oral health can have on someone. I saw people who couldn’t smile or laugh without covering their mouths, obviously feeling very self-conscious about their appearance. I knew then that dentistry was a field I was interested in learning more about,” Daniel explains.

Back home in Henderson, Nevada, Brock began researching dental schools and discovered Touro. “I chose Touro Dental because of the resources and opportunities provided to students. My experience has been that they really care about the students and are willing to accommodate our needs, which was made even more obvious during covid and this time of online learning,” he says.

Brock looks forward to pursuing his professional journey and making a difference in the lives of his patients.
