Financial Aid Office
The following has been identified as the Student Learning Outcomes for the various services provided by the Financial Aid Office.
- Students will be able to identify the different types of financial aid available to them, including scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study programs.
- Students will be able to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) accurately and on time.
- Students will be able to understand their financial aid award letters and how to accept, decline, or adjust their awards as needed.
- Students will be able to calculate the cost of attendance at the institution, including tuition, fees, books, room and board, and other expenses.
- Students will be able to create a budget and manage their personal finances responsibly, including their student loan debt.
- Students will be able to identify and apply for additional sources of financial aid, such as private scholarships and grants.
- Students will be able to understand the terms and conditions of their financial aid awards, including eligibility requirements, disbursement procedures, and renewal criteria.
- Students will be able to access and navigate the financial aid system, including online resources and communication channels.
- Students will be able to comply with federal and state financial aid regulations and policies, including satisfactory academic progress (SAP) standards.
- Students will be able to seek guidance and support from the financial aid office as needed, including resolving issues or concerns related to their financial aid.
Office of the Bursar Strategic Learning Goals
- Students will be actively involved in their account management by accessing and navigating their account activity on the online payment portal.
- Students will identify and understand their tuition and fees costs.
- Students will identify and understand the critical due dates for payments.
- Students will identify and understand their program’s withdrawal policies including deadlines for dropping classes and their liability of charges.
- Students will access and navigate the online payment portal to make a payment, enroll in a payment plan, add an authorized user and/or enroll is direct deposit.
- Students will understand the terms and conditions of their payment plans.
- Students will identify and understand the student refund process including when and how they can receive their funds.
- Students will understand the penalties for past due payments.
- Students will be able to access their 1098T tax documents.
- Students will have access to Office of the Bursar staff for support and guidance in person, zoom, email and phone communication.
