Physician Assistant

Our Accelerated Health Sciences Track in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Doctor of Pharmacy allow for qualified students to finish their professional degree faster and at a lower cost by transferring into the graduate programs directly from Touro’s Lander Colleges prior to the completion of a bachelor’s degree.

The Integrated Honors Track programs in Health Sciences, Osteopathic Medicine, and Pharmacy offer highly focused and challenging curricula for students set on a career in these fields. Graduates of our honors tracks receive priority admission to Touro’s related graduate and professional programs.

Physician assistants (PA) are medical professionals who diagnose illnesses, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications and often serve as a patient’s principal caregiver.

This is one of the fastest-growing and in-demand professions and is at the forefront of healthcare. Touro, along with The School of Health Sciences of Touro University, is a powerhouse in the education and training of these skilled and dedicated professionals.

The opportunities for licensed PAs are endless. This may include working in primary care, internal medicine, emergency medicine or countless number of medical and surgical specialties, including hospital intensive care, cardiology, pediatrics, cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and dermatology to name a few. This versatile profession offers tremendous career opportunities in clinical medicine, as well as hospital administration and education.
