Alan Perry is an associate professor of psychology and the deputy chair of the Department of Psychology at the Lander College for Men. He earned his Ph.D. in psychology from Fordham University with specialties in educational and clinical psychology. He has served as the director of psychological services and as a supervising psychologist on the forensic psychiatry service at Kings County Hospital, as well as a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He also treated inmates at Rikers Island Correctional Facility in several capacities, including as senior psychologist chief of service and deputy director of mental health services.
