Professor Naomi Klapper is the deputy chair of the Department of Psychology at Lander College for Women and has been a full-time faculty member since 1989. She has lectured extensively on the topics of parenting, relationships, marriage and wellness. Professor Klapper is a sought-after scholar-in-residence at many educational retreats, psychology programs and synagogues. She is also a licensed clinical therapist and maintains a private practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Klapper received both a Master of Arts in mental health counseling and her M.A. in social-organizational psychology from Columbia University, and has received several teaching awards, including the 2018 Presidential Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching, the student nominated “Teacher of the Year” award at Lander College and the prestigious “America’s Top Teachers” award.
