COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- Describe the Pharmacologic and Pharmacodynamic principles to contrast media
- Classify contrast according to specific categories and give examples for each category
- Explain the action, uses and side effects of contrast media
- Describe the methods and techniques for administering various types of contrast media
- Explain the current legal and ethical status of the radiographer’s role administration
- Discuss the purpose and advantages of intravenous drug administration
- Demonstrate appropriate venipuncture technique
- Differentiate between the two major sits of intravenous drug administration
- Identify, describe, the document complications associated with intravenous drug therapy and appropriate actions to resolve these complications
