Speaker: Karen Sutton, Ph.D.
Dr. Karen Sutton is Associate Professor of History at Touro College, Lander College for Women. She is a former Fulbright scholar and the author of several works on the Holocaust and Jewish rescuers including The Massacre of the Jews of Lithuania, 2008 and Far Above Miracles: Survival in Lithuania, 2014. She is currently working on her upcoming book They Did More Than Pray: Orthodox Rescuers during the Holocaust. Dr. Sutton received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1995. She has been teaching at Touro College for the past 12 years and is a past recipient of the Orthodox Jewish Teacher’s Association Best Teachers’ Award.
