Teacher Appreciation Week: What is Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)?
The week of May 8 is Teacher Appreciation week and Touro University wants to celebrate you! Join us for a webinar on What is Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and how does it show up in the everyday fabric of the school as part of three informative sessions aimed at helping you more easily manage stress and meet the challenges of your work as an educator.
During our conversation together, we will unpack the main attributes of SEL, demystify common misconceptions, arm that intentional and explicit teaching of social-emotional skills to K- 12 students is the foundation of supportive instructional environment, and brainstorm how we can guide our candidates in strengthening and developing their own social-emotional skills as adults.
