Learn how to work with large data sets of tens of thousands of records in this hands-on introduction to Data Analytics.
After this workshop, you will have a basic understanding of how to:
- organize and sift through enormous quantities of data to find the data points that are meaningful.
- summarize 100,000 rows of data or more on one screen, so that it can be viewed, comprehended, and business decisions can be made based on the analysis.
- employ functions such as COUNTIF, DAVERAGE, and VLOOKUP to answer questions that will support business decisions.
Dr. Shmuel Fink is the chair of the MS in Information Systems program at the Touro College Graduate School of Technology. He will present an overview and give you hands-on exercises to introduce you to data analytics. The ability to work in Excel at a basic level is necessary.
