During this pandemic, development of resilience in children and adults is more important than ever. This is a two-session webinar series that will explore the definition and research behind resilience by providing practical strategies that promote resilience in educators and students.

Session 1: What role does Social and Emotional Learning have in the development of Resilience in children?

In this session, Dr. Elliott will define resilience as she examines evidence-based research and strategies from social emotional experts in the field.

Session 2: Tips to Build Connections and Empathy to Empower our Students

This session will provide a more holistic approach to support practitioners with practical techniques to promote personal resilience and well-being using the five core CASEL Social-Emotional Competencies.

About the Presenter: Robin Elliott, Ed.D. is currently the Director of Sanford Programs at Long Island University in Brooklyn. She supports the training and implementation of Sanford Harmony Social Emotional Learning Program within hundreds of schools and afterschool organizations in the Tri-State Region. Elliott is an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education at Touro College in Manhattan, New York. Dr. Elliott has over 26 years of teaching and administration experience.
