Join us for an evening of tribute, gratitude and fond recollection in memory of our dear friend and colleague Dr. Anthony J. Polemeni to inaugurate the Anthony J. Polemeni Memorial Scholarship Fund, Touro College Division of Graduate Studies.
Dr. Anthony J. Polemeni, of blessed memory (February 1, 1935 - May 22, 2014), was a beloved member of the senior leadership of Touro College. He was an outstanding educator, leader, colleague and friend and was a leader in the field of education for nearly four decades. In 2001, Dr. Polemeni joined the Touro College family as dean of the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. During his tenure, the student population swelled from 500 to more than 5,000, making Touro one of the largest graduate schools of education in New York State. In 2008, he was appointed to be the vice president of the Division of Graduate Studies, overseeing the College’s seven graduate schools.
