Deep Equity Now - The Intro
This event is the first of a six-part series. The Deep Equity Now series is about preparing educators to elevate beyond the safe and performative aspect of equity, into the space that Baldwin describes as "go[ing] for broke."
It is here that our work becomes transformative, as we learn how to put it all on the line.
This webinar will take place on February 9, 12:30 pm (PST)/ 3:30 pm (EST).
For this session, we have 3 distinguished deans discussing what it takes to move the equity conversation from awareness to action. In this, they will be discussing what it means to engage in Deep Equity and the possibilities for what this can look like at the actionable level at our respective institutions. As we continue to work through collectively, a pandemic that has forever shifted all of our lives, these deans will outline what it takes to rise above our circumstance, shine a light on equity, and prioritize exposing the brilliance of the communities we serve.
