Deep Equity and Culturally Responsive Leadership
This event is the fifth of a six-part series. The Deep Equity Now series is about preparing educators to elevate beyond the safe and performative aspect of equity, into the space that Baldwin describes as "go[ing] for broke."
It is here that our work becomes transformative, as we learn how to put it all on the line.
This webinar will take place on April 6, 12:30 pm (PST)/ 3:30 pm (EST).
Is equity the latest iteration of cultural responsiveness or is it a totally separate and unique concept? In this session we are looking at how equitable leadership is also culturally responsive leadership. Drs. Syene Cooper and Chris Smith will help us talk about how these two types of leadership play out in an urban school environment, as well as how we can teach our students to lead in this way.
