Dr. Malkah Bressler has been working in student support centers for over 15 years. Early during her doctoral studies at Fordham University, she realized that her passion lies in supporting graduate students as they navigate and develop within the university system. At Fordham, Malkah was elected Vice President and President of the Graduate Student Association, where she created programming to support the professional, scholarly, and pedagogical development of her fellow graduate students. She also taught in the undergraduate writing program and worked in the writing center. After graduation, Malkah was a Senior Writing Consultant at the Writing Center at CUNY The Graduate Center, where she continued to work with graduate students and assisted in directing the student-support center. Malkah believes that every graduate student benefits from the kind of targeted support only a graduate-student-focused academic center provides. Malkah earned her B.A. and M.A. from the University of Chicago and her Ph.D. from Fordham University where she studied trans-Atlantic British Literature.
