Where is the appointment?

Individual tutoring sessions are conducted via Zoom and in-person at 3 Times Square (Cross River Campus) room #758.

When you schedule an appointment through Microsoft Bookings, please indicate whether you want a Zoom appointment or an in-person appointment.

After you book an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email.

If you book a Zoom appointment, the Zoom link for the appointment will be included in the confirmation email.

Appointment timing:

A typical tutoring session lasts 45-60 minutes.

We offer daytime and evening hours Sunday through Friday. Please see our Microsoft Bookings page for specialist-specific availability.

Some appointment hours are only available via Zoom; this includes all Friday and Sunday appointment hours.

What to expect and what to not expect:

  • We will assist you with any grammar, spelling, punctuation, citation errors we find while reading your work, but we are not an editing service. We DO NOT offer proofreading and copyediting services.
  • During appointments we are happy to explain APA rules and guide you through composing one or two citations. We WILL NOT spend an entire appointment reviewing and correcting your citations. If you are interested in our APA citation and formatting workshop, please let us know. If you require immediate assistance, please see our tutorials page, which features several online resources for proper formatting and citation rules.

Appointment Policies and Procedures:

  • Specialists do not read student work before the scheduled appointment. Even if you send the specialist your seminar paper, cover letter, resume, etc. ahead of the appointment hour, the specialist will not read your work before the appointment begins.
  • If you are bringing written work to the appointment, please note that the specialist will use the first 10-30 minutes of the appointment to review your work. The rest of the time will be spent discussing their comments and suggestions.
  • Because all review is accomplished during the appointment hour, please do not bring more than 15-20 pages of writing to one appointment.
  • We limit appointments to two per two weeks per student. Students have the option of doing two appointments in one week or one per week.
  • Back-to-back appointments (even if they are with different specialists) are not permitted.
  • Appointments cannot exceed 60 minutes.
  • Appointments may be scheduled only up to two weeks in advance.
  • If our hours of availability are not convenient, please email us at mbressler@touro.edu, and we will try to accommodate your scheduling needs.

Faculty can refer a student, request a classroom visit, and request a workshop.
