In this AI faculty session, Dr. Sundvall will train participants on Turnitin's AI detection capabilities.

Dr. Sundvall will demonstrate how to evaluate the AI detection model using students' work, providing insights into the programming, training, intended uses, and pitfalls of the AI detection report. She will also review an AI detection report (variations in student and faculty views), guiding faculty through effective interpretation, identifying false positives, understanding limitations, the difference between AI detection and academic honesty, and alignment with institutional policies. Additionally, she will share current research, trends, best practices, and practical tips for using AI detection effectively and correctly in your courses.
