This CETL workshop is designed to equip Touro faculty with the skills needed to effectively use Generative AI (GenAI) tools in their teaching and research. Participants will learn how to create precise and impactful prompts, enhancing their ability to leverage AI for academic purposes, from research to assessment creation to enhancing Socratic discussions. By the end of the workshop, faculty members will be better prepared to integrate these cutting-edge tools into their academic practices, potentially improving both their teaching effectiveness and research productivity.
Structured Prompting Techniques Covered:
- Chain-of-Thought Prompting
- Few-Shot Learning
- Meta-Prompting
- Sequential Prompting
Learning Objectives:
- Understand and Apply Structured Prompting Techniques: Faculty will learn to identify and implement different structured prompting techniques to improve the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated outputs.
- Develop Clear and Effective Prompts: Participants will gain skills in crafting concise, logical, and explicit prompts that provide clear instructions and desired outcomes for AI tools.
- Enhance Teaching and Research with AI: Attendees will explore practical applications of AI in their disciplines, using structured prompting to support content creation, brainstorming, research, and communication.
