Call for Applications: 2024 CETL Faculty Fellows
Open to all Touro University full-time faculty.
Touro prides itself on its historic commitment to excellence in teaching. The mission of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Touro University is to advance, support, and sustain a robust and inclusive culture of excellence in teaching and learning across the University, serving its entire faculty so as to achieve distinction in student success for the University.
Starting June 1, 2024, one or two faculty fellows will be engaged with CETL for a 12-month period, for which they will receive a stipend of $10,000 each. In consultation with each fellow, their roles and responsibilities will include (and not limited to) the following:
- Fellow Project
- Proposed project (described in detail in application form) to further advance teaching and learning at Touro University; and
- Achieve milestones according to established timeline.
- Reflection & Reporting
- Provide a mid-year and year-end reflection,
- Develop and facilitate one CETL session or webinar (one hour) on their fellowship project;
- Provide content for the CETL webpage to share Fellow’s work with other faculty; and
- Provide a year-end report on their Fellow Project that includes outcomes, lessons learned, and future recommendations.
- Serve on the CETL Faculty Advisory Board, attend meetings, work with the Director on developing agendas for the meetings and collaborate with the Director with follow-up work in between meetings
In addition, CETL Fellows may also concurrently work with the Center Director and other faculty on other on-going CETL projects and activities.
